One thing that I have always wanted to do is learn Linux. I have done a few projects in Linux (i.e. LAMP, Kanboard, FTP, Minecraft, and others), but I have never sat down with a book and studied for a certification in Linux. The book that I have is the CompTIA Linux+ Study Guide 3rd Edition by Christine Bresnahan and Richard Blum for the LX0-103 and 104 exam. I do know there is a new exam coming out this October and it is 1 exam where as this one is two. Plus taking one exam will be cheaper than taking two. Luckily for me, I have an ESXI host for my computer lab and can run just about any VM that I want. It will help me to learn to be a Linux administrator. I already have my CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+ certifications. I passed my Network+ with flying colors and I am usually a good test taker, but I almost failed the Security+ exam and it rattled me a little. I would like to help myself study by taking my notes and leaving them here. This will make it really easy for me to look back on what I have studied and review. If this helps someone else study for their Linux exams then so be it. Happy studies!
