Upgrading My Graphics Card

I recently upgraded my graphics card from an ASUS Radeon 5450 1GB to the EVGA 1050ti SSC 4GB card and I am so happy that I did. AsusAMDRadeon5450

The ASUS AMD Radeon 5450 1Gb was a decent card for what I was doing with it, which was just streaming some YouTube, but when I started gaming a bit more I realized I needed something with a bit more powerful.  In my setup this card had a bit of trouble with anything over 720p and it would play a game like World of Warcraft only on the lowest settings. You can see below at the Windows Index score is the lowest in the graphics card score.

While I appreciate the quiet with the passive cooling, it was nice to upgrade to something much more powerful. Finally, I just broke down and went to BestBuy and brought home the EVGA Geforce GTX 1050ti SSC.

This card runs great in my set upmySetup

and it was cheaper than Amazon. Here is the Windows index score for the EVGA.

You can see that the lowest score is now the mechanical drive I still have in this particular computer. Suddenly, I can stream YouTube in 2160p, I can run World of Warcraft on the Ultra settings or very high, and it is still extremely quiet. In fact, I don’t even hear the fan run at all. Another thing I liked about it is that it does not require any power connectors that connect to the Power Supply in the computer. This is a fantastic card for the money and it was cheaper because of the other cards that are out (1060, 1070, and 1080). I saw that the Geforce RTX 2080 is out so I can expect the Geforce 1080ti will be coming down in price as well. This is a great all around card, especially if you are on a tight budget.
